I usually bake pork chops in cream of mushroom soup, onions and pepper. I’m looking for something different. And I don’t want to fry them either. I was thinking of wrapping bacon around them, but don’t know how long to bake for or if I need any other ingredients. Does anyone have a good, SIMPLE recipe please?

Simple? I like to use garlic salt and some green onions. Use a mustard for marinade and let it sit overnight. Then take it out and cook at 350 for about 30 min

Well, I rarely bake my pork chops b/c it dries them out. I usually season them w/ S&P, garlic and onion powders, maybe alittle paprika for color, then brown in a skillet w/ a bit of oil (1 Tbsp?). When both sides are nice and brown, they are done if they’re kind of thin. If thick and not done on the inside yet, add 1-1½ cups or so of stock, water, boullion cube, white wine, or a combo thereof and let them simmer in the sauce to finish coooking. You can tighten up the sauce w/ a bit of flour or cornstarch if you like.
Pork Chop & Rice Casserole
1 (6-oz.) package Uncle Ben’s long grain and wild rice mix (not the quick cooking)
2 cups hot water
6 (1/2 inch thick) bone-in pork loin chops, trimmed of most fat
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of whatever soup
1/2 cup milk
Combine rice, seasoning packet from rice mix and hot water; place in a lightly greased 13×9″ baking dish. Set aside. Sprinkle pork chops with pepper, and place over rice mixture. Cover and bake at 350ºF for 1 hr. Uncover casserole; combine soup and milk and pour over casserole. Bake, uncovered about 15 min. more or until thoroughly heated.
*You add a little more milk, or add another half a can of soup with the more milk, to make more gravy.

try this fail proof recipe that i use all the time–mix some soy sauce , seseme oil, fresh garlic, grated ginger, and some minced green onions, or celentro or parsley or whatever you have for colour and extra flavour.Add a bit of salt and pepper and let your pork chops maranade in it for a bit or just mix up the sauce on pour over the chops and bake in the oven at 350 till it’s done. It’s even better on the grill or fried and top it off with fried onions, tomatoe slices and celentro …can make a gravy with the pan drippings and pour over the chops…so good!!

Have you ever tried McCormick cooking bags? They come with a dry rub that you place on the chops before placing in the bag.
One tip though… the bags cook meat a bit faster, so take them out and let them rest in the bag.. but don’t overcook! The directions are on the package.
I take them out a few minutes early, carefully slice open the bag (watch for the steam!) add a good brand of canned apples on top of the chops, then let them rest on the counter. The apples get nice & warm, and the chops don’t overcook because meat always continues to cook during the resting process.
I **** tough pork chops, but they’re easy to make nice & tender if you take them out at the right time ~

Love pork chops with something like Uncle Ben’s wild rice, green beans or peas, apple sauce and maybe dinner rolls…
Num!

beat a couple eggs, in a bowl add some salt and pepper dip the chops in,
in another dish put some bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese dip the chops in that, in a pan put some oil heat it a bit and add the chops in the oil cook until golden and place them on top of a cookie sheet, at this point you can bake them as they are for 15 minutes or add some tomato sauce and a slice of Mozzarella cheese on top of each one of the chops .

Gingered Pork Chops in Orange Juice
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 tablespoons olive oil
4 thick cut pork chops
1 onion, halved and thinly sliced
1 tablespoon brandy
1 1/2 cups orange juice
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place the flour, ginger, salt and pepper into a paper or plastic bag. Put the chops in the bag, and shake to coat. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Brown pork chops in the hot oil on both sides. Transfer the chops to a casserole dish.
Place the onion in the hot frying pan, and cook until limp. Pour the brandy into the pan, and stir to incorporate any bits of food that may be stuck to the pan. Pour the onion and juices over the pork chops in the dish. Pour the orange juice into the casserole as well.
Cover and bake for 45 minutes, or until chops are no longer pink. Serve with the orange sauce from the dish.
