This is one of my favorite cakes….Red Velvet Cake. hope its easy enough for you! enjoy it as much as I do!
INGREDIENTS:
1 box white cake mix (2-layer size)
1 box (4-serving size) instant vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 ounces red food coloring
Cream Cheese Frosting, recipe follows
PREPARATION:
Mix the above ingredients for 4 minutes on medium speed. Grease and flour 3 cakes pans. Bake at 350° for 20 – 25 minutes or until done. Cool cake.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 stick (4 ounces) butter 8 ounces cream cheese 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 box (16 ounces) powdered sugar 1 cup chopped pecans
PREPARATION:
Cream 1 stick butter, 8 oz. cream cheese. Add 1 tablespoon vanilla, 1 box powdered sugar (16 ounces). Cream until smooth. Frost layers. Add pecans to each layer as you frost cake.

you can do a simple tres leches cake….just make a regular yellow cake and when it is done pour mixture of condensed milk, evaporated milk and heavy whipping cream all over the cake and let it absorb into it…..Refrigerate till cool and frost with cool whip!! so yummy and easy!!

WHISKEY CAKE
INGREDIENTS
1 (18.25 ounce) package moist white cake mix
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup whiskey
DIRECTIONS
Mix cake batter as directed on box. Stir in nuts.
Bake cake as directed on box in a bundt pan.
Before taking cake out of oven, combine butter, sugar, and whiskey. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove syrup from heat, and pour over cake. Continue baking cake for 5 more minutes. Cool in pan for about 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
