  1. Monia,

This one sounds good and is light on the alcohol.

The second link shows sangria made with champagne, and is heavier on the booze.

  2. There is really one cardinal rule in making sangria: use decent ingredients.

They don’t have to be expensive, but they should be things that you’d generally be happy to eat and drink by themselves. The fruit NEEDS to be fresh.

Other than that, you can basically follow this template:

    1 bottle of wine
    1/4 Cup of spirits
    2 Cups of fruit
    Club soda to taste.

You can either make a white or red sangria, you can use whatever kind of fruit you like (but it should be matched to your wine), same goes for the spirits you use.

Classically sangria is made with Rioja, but any kind of dry red will do in a pinch. If you can find it, I’d strongly recommend Luzon* or Albal Liza** for reds. They’re cheap and they’re very good. If you don’t normally drink brandy of any sort, and don’t want to break the bank, buy a pint of E&J or something like that and add a shot of that and a shot of triple sec then slice an orange a lemon and a lime into thin rounds and put all of the stuff together in a pitcher and let sit overnight. Right before you serve add a couple of cups of club soda and a couple of cups of ice.

  3. Here are the 2 best ones I’ve found.

All of the best sangrias I’ve had include more than just red wine and fruit :)
