SBean_29 asked:

I had this really good Red Apple Sangria at Applebee’s Restaurant and just fell in love with it. I want to make some on Christmas Eve. Does anyone have the recipe or know where to get the exact one? Thanks!

    From Debra Fioritto Weber,

This French cocktail is a spin off of sangria. It’s made with red wine, Cointreau, apples, oranges and apple juice.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
    INGREDIENTS:
    2 oranges, washed
    1 lemon, washed
3 apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
    1 bottle of red wine
    1/2 cup Cointreau
    1 cinnamon stick
    2 cups cold apple juice
    PREPARATION:
The night before you plan to serve your apéritif:
    1. Slice the oranges and the lemons into rounds. Cut the rounds in half and place in a large pitcher.

    2. Cut the apples into small, decorative cubes and place in the pitcher with the citrus fruits.

easy and inexspensive-buy the WHITE sagria -even at a convenient store -bout 2-3 bucks a bottle -add simmerred diced apples -mac’s are best-add ‘apple pie spices” so to speak then finsh with a little honey REAL apple juice-then for the big finish -add thin slices of red -green and yellow apples for show(the longer it simmers-or sits in the fridge-the better-good luck!!
